Accessibility Statement

At Kingston Community Health Centres (KCHC) we recognize the importance of ensuring that our services, facilities, and information are accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We will meet the needs of people with disabilities by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.

Our commitment to accessibility is embedded in our organizational culture, and we strive to provide an environment that is welcoming and accommodating. We are dedicated to continually improving our practices to ensure service excellence for all.

To fulfill our commitment, we will:

  1. Identify and Remove Barriers: Regularly assess our services, programs, and facilities to identify and address barriers that may hinder accessibility.
  2. Promote Awareness: Educate our employees, volunteers, clients, and the public on the importance of accessibility and inclusivity, fostering a culture of understanding and respect.
  3. Provide Training: Ensure that our employees and volunteers receive training on accessibility standards and best practices, empowering them to contribute to a more inclusive environment.
  4. Communicate Effectively: Deliver information in accessible formats and provide alternative communication methods to ensure that everyone can access the information they need.
  5. Seek feedback: Ensure that feedback mechanisms are in place to inform our ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance accessibility.

By embracing these principles, we aim to create an accessible and supportive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, can fully participate in the opportunities and services we offer. We invite our community members, employees, and partners to join us in this commitment as we work together to build a more inclusive and resilient community for all.

Feedback and/or questions can be communicated by way of KCHC’s feedback process.
