Volunteering at Pathways to Education Kingston
Thank you so much for your interest in supporting our program as a volunteer! Do you like to work with youth? Are you looking for valuable experience where you can help make a difference in the lives of young people? Would you like to get more involved in your community?
Our Volunteer Program is highly valued here at Pathways to Education, and we appreciate the time, dedication, and individual skill set each volunteer brings to the team. Our volunteers make a significant impact by creating accessible, engaging, and supportive environments for our youth.
Our Volunteer Program offers unique hands-on experience working with youth, as well as the opportunity and support to grow within the field. We believe that utilizing the individual strengths of our volunteers creates the most valuable outcomes, best benefiting the students here at Pathways. We value a positive outlook, a supportive attitude, and a passion for helping.
We have a vast range of volunteer opportunities available, including weekly programming positions, event-specific opportunities, as well as local organization involvement.
Please contact Stephanie Wight, Student Experience & Program Facilitator Team Lead, if you have any questions about volunteer opportunities at [email protected].

Opportunities
Programming
As a programming volunteer, you will have the opportunity to create relationships and connections with our youth through games, conversation, academic tutoring, physical literacy/recreational support and more. In our focused programs, such as Climate Resilience and Outdoor Academy, volunteers are able to engage with students in unique opportunities outside of the standard programming environment. We value flexibility in our programming to suit the needs of our students, leading to opportunities for volunteers to share their skills and facilitate activities such as music groups, art sessions and more.
Event Support
At Pathways to Education Kingston we often hold large events such as our end of year graduation ceremonies. At these types of events, there are volunteer opportunities to help with tech-support, general event support (take-down, set-up), photography, and more.
Workshops
Workshops such as career mentorship and professional development are deeply valued here at Pathways to Education. We encourage community engagement through the leadership and involvement in these workshops.
