Calling all healthcare professionals! You’re invited to a FREE half-day workshop focused on developing person-centered strategies to better support individuals in assessing their options and identifying their next steps.
This workshop is designed for front line clinicians who are involved in diagnostic or treatment decisions, and it focuses on skills needed to create successful partnerships that support patients in making decisions consistent with their desire to be involved and the values that influence that decision. The practical skills taught in this workshop are using ask-offer-ask to give information and advice and using the BRAIN worksheet to support informed decision making.
Informed decision making empowers patients, clients, and peers to actively participate in their care. By working in partnership, we can help people understand the potential risks and benefits of their options while aligning choices with their values and preferences.
