SE Ontario neuroaffirming group – a welcoming and respectful space for neurodivergent adults to connect, learn, and share.

Hosted by the Southeast Ontario Self-Management Program, at Kingston Community Health Centres

This neuroaffirming discussion group is a welcoming, respectful space for neurodivergent adults to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. We meet via online video chat (Zoom), making participation accessible from wherever you are most comfortable. We will explore life hacks and real life experiences of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, OCD, sensory processing, and more.

Dates and Times: the second and fourth Monday of every month, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM

Each session focuses on a different topic relevant to neurodivergent life, with an emphasis on practical tools, self-understanding, and mutual support. Sessions begin with a brief 10–15 minute presentation introducing the topic, offering helpful frameworks, tools, or perspectives. Afterward the space opens for guided discussion, where participants can share insights, ask questions, and explore what works for them without pressure or judgment.

This group is grounded in neuroaffirming values: we honour diverse ways of thinking, feeling, and functioning. There is no expectation to “fix” or mask who you are, only to better understand yourself, build supportive strategies, and connect with others who get it.

Participation is flexible – you’re welcome to speak, use chat, or simply listen. You may sign up for one or all sessions. Each session will have closed captioning, visual slides, and chat box available. Whether you’re newly exploring your neurodivergence or have long identified as such, you are welcome here!

We are only able to accept participants in Southeast Ontario region.
