Join us every Monday for Older Adults Day at the Rideau Heights Community Centre. Programs offer a variety of activities to keep you active, connected, and engaged!
Begin your day with the Seniors Strength, Fitness & Balance Maintenance Group, designed to improve strength, reduce the risk of falls, and prevent frailty. Sessions run from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Large Presentation Room. To participate, register with Sarah at 613-449-8301 ext. 1137 or Spencer at 613-484-8072.
Enjoy a mid-morning break at the Talking Café, where you can sip free coffee or tea, enjoy healthy snacks, and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere. This runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Pods B and C, with no registration required. If games are more your style, check out the Board Game Café in the Multipurpose Room during the same hours. Play card and board games hosted by volunteers and library staff – no sign-up needed!
On the 1st Monday of each month, join the Books and Beans Monthly Book Club. Discuss your latest good read over coffee or tea, borrow books provided by the Kingston Frontenac Public Library, or visit the Rideau Heights KFPL Branch to choose your next read. This takes place in the Multipurpose Room.
Don’t miss the Super Seniors Speaker Series on the 3rd Monday of each month! Hear from local professionals as they share their expertise on topics selected by participants. Enjoy food and drinks during this engaging session from 12-2 p.m. in the Large Hall. No registration is required.
Transportation supports are available if needed, and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
