Position Summary
The Site Support Worker plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for families participating in the Growing Together program. Serving as a consistent, welcoming presence on site, the Site Support Worker collaborates closely with the Coordinator and Growing Together volunteers to deliver semi-structured, family drop-in programming, engaging families in activities, and ensuring all safety and security protocols are upheld. Key responsibilities include greeting youth, parents and volunteers warmly upon arrival and ensuring a positive, inclusive atmosphere throughout the program; monitoring and recording student and volunteer attendance; assisting with the setup, cleanup, and light maintenance of the program space; preparing and serving snacks or meals as needed; overseeing the use and return of program materials and resources and serving as the final point of contact at the end of each session, ensuring all participants depart safely and positively. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, patient, and committed to fostering an environment where families with children in grades 1 through to 6 feel valued and supported.
