Catalyst is a 16-week program for those looking to quit crystal methamphetamine use. It is composed of 2 main supports:

  • positive reinforcement of negative urine tests (urine negative for crystal methamphetamine = prizes!)
  • wrap around care: group counseling, 1:1 supports from addictions counselor, occupational therapist, registered nurse and community support worker

Eligibility Criteria

  • Goal is to abstain completely from (quit) using crystal methamphetamine
  • Available to attend program twice a week for 16 weeks
  • Not in recovery from a gambling disorder
  • Not on certain prescribed stimulant medications

How to get started

Clients must self-refer by calling or dropping to Street Health Centre to make an appointment for an intake with a nurse.

Program schedule

  • Street Health Site: Monday and Thursday 9 am – 12 noon
  • Providence Care Site: Monday and Thursday 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
