Developed by universities this six-week series of 2.5 hour interactive workshops will help you with nearly any chronic pain condition that you are experiencing (see below for examples).
In a nurturing small group environment, you will learn how to:
- Develop coping skills
- Build your confidence and motivation
- Better manage your symptoms and the daily tasks
- Deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation and poor sleep
- Maintain and improve strength, flexibility and endurance
- Make healthy food choices
- Communicate with your health care team and family members
- Pace activity and rest
- Evaluate treatments
- Set weekly goals
The workshop does not conflict with other programs or treatment and is designed to enhance your other regular treatment.
