We moved!

June 2026: We are now operating out of our new location at 2-315 Queen Mary Rd.

The Family Health Educator (FHE) at Midtown Kingston Health Home supports positive health outcomes for families and children, with a focus on pregnancy, newborn, early childhood, and early school-age years. Through interventions like system navigation, health education, and knowledge-sharing sessions, the FHE provides individualized and group-based support to parents & families.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the FHE helps clients build resilience and develop practical skills, drawing on a strong understanding of the social determinants of health, equity, inclusiveness, social justice, and trauma-informed care. The FHE empowers families to identify and achieve their health-related goals.

Examples of FHE services include (but are not limited to):

  • Prenatal and postpartum education
  • Prenatal intake and support
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Infant feeding support
  • Newborn and infant care
  • Infant sleep support
  • Infant & Toddler development
  • Introduction to solids and managing picky eating
  • Early speech and language development

The FHE also supports clients through case management and health system navigation.
To access these services, patients can request a referral from their primary care provider or contact the clinic directly.
