Caring for a family member or friend with a health condition can be demanding—physically, emotionally, and financially. This 1.5-hour introductory session is for anyone considering the Powerful Tools for Caregivers 6-week workshop series (though it’s not required to attend). This program helps family caregivers care for themselves while supporting a relative or friend, whether they live at home, in a nursing home, or even at a distance.
In this introductory session, you’ll get an introduction to key skills such as:
- Reducing stress
- Boosting self-confidence
- Managing time, setting goals, and solving problems
- Communicating your feelings, needs, and concerns effectively
- Making difficult decisions
- Finding helpful resources
Come see how small changes can make a big difference in your caregiving journey. If you would like to take a deeper dive into this topic, register for our 6-week program starting May 26th.
