Gain skills, resources and confidence to better manage your life with cancer. This workshop runs for six weeks for 2.5 hours/week and helps you to actively achieve your best health and wellness during and after diagnosis, as well as provides you with a greater sense of control over your life. Open to adults living with cancer, are survivors, and/or their family, friends and/or caregivers.
More informationParticipants report improvement in their lifestyle and general health, as well as improved symptom management and better communication with their doctors. They also spend less time in the hospital compared to those who have not taken the workshop.
In a nurturing small group environment, you will learn:
- Techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain, isolation, poor sleep and living with uncertainty
- Appropriate exercise for regaining and maintaining flexibility, and endurance
