Services to help manage diabetes are offered at Napanee Area Community Health Centre by two Certified Diabetes Educators – a Registered Nurse and a Registered Dietitian. Our Certified Diabetes Educators offer individual counselling to people with diabetes, pre-diabetes or risk of diabetes living in the RFLA region.

Diabetes topics covered by our diabetes educators include:

  • Meal planning
  • Nutrition and lifestyle management
  • Medication education, including insulin start and adjustment
  • Foot screening
  • Group education
  • Cooking classes
