11:00 am - 12:00 pmLiving Well in the Community is a falls prevention program designed for older adults. It aims to improve strength and balance, optimize cognition, and promote self-management through a variety of functional activities. It is an ongoing program run by an Occupational Therapist. It runs twice a week: Mondays at Rideau Heights Community Centre and Thursdays at KCHC. Registration is required.

11:00 am - 1:00 pmThe Food For You, Food For Two is a prenatal program that brings people who are having a baby together to learn about pregnancy, birth, food, and nutrition, and taking care of your baby. Join us to cook and eat food together, meet new people and take home some healthy food. Transportation and child-minding may be available. Who can join? Individuals who are pregnant or who have a baby less than 6 months of age. Feel free to bring a friend or support person along with you!

The workshop helps participants to understand the challenges of living in poverty, both personally and in the community, as well as learn about resources and support that are available. For over 20 years, the GFB has been providing monthly access to fresh produce boxes through community host sites, with the mission of increasing accessibility to fresh produce in the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington area.
